2013 PacTIN T-BAR Grant Program Cohort 3
PacTIN T-BAR Cohort 3 Grant Recipients.
The PacTIN Leadership Team is pleased to announce the 19 recipients of Cohort 3 grant awards.
Each funded project includes a team of three to five teachers with creative and innovative ideas for enhancing teaching and learning. Over the next eighteen months each of these teams will receive up to $15,000 to participate in targeted professional development and complete a project that will allow them to translate their collective learning into practice.
The selected teams represent eighteen different schools in fifteen school districts located in the following counties: Alameda, San Luis Obispo, Santa Cruz, Sonoma, San Mateo, Mendocino, Monterey, Ventura, and Yolo.
PacTIN currently serves 68 teams of teachers. Since its inception in 2009 PacTIN has awarded over $1.5 million dollars in direct support of K-12 educators.
PacTIN is administered by the UC Davis School of Education, in partnership with Humboldt State University and Pajaro Unified School District. It is one of four regional sites participating in California’s Teacher-Based Reform (T-BAR) pilot program. Funding comes from the US Department of Education's Improving Teacher Quality State Grants Program.
